Matthew 2011 One Year Bible Blogging on Facebook posts

Matthew commentary from One Year Bible Blogging on Face book 2011

January 1 Mathew 1:1-2:12;

Matthew 1:16;"Jacob [deceiver] the father of Joseph[YHWH adds] the husband of Mary [Greek for bitter water] of whom was born Jesus[Greek for YHWH saves], who is called Christ[Greek for Highest honor]. Exodus 15:22b-25a;"they came to Marah, they could not drink its water...Moses cried...the Lord showed him a piece of wood"

etymologies derived from Abarim publications.

January 2 Mathew 2:13-3:6;

Matthew 2:16; "When Herod realized he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious" Hosea 10:15b-11:1; "O Bethel [house of God], because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed. When Israel was a child, I loved him, out of Egypt [Distress] I called my son"

Personal note: The venom of faith may still lie in these words: "This is how you will know;" these words appear to always lead to judgment. The will of God then seems to be this: "This is how you must Love".

January 3 Matthew 3:7-4:11;

Matthew 3:7-12; "Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance...He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, [Isaiah 41:15] gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff in unquenchable fire"

Personal Note; In this passage, John was speaking to the Pharisees [Separate] who were an offshoot of Hasidim [the pious] and to the Sadducees [The righteous]. He spoke in fulfillment of Malachi 3:3-4 as Jesus would refine their understanding so that the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable. Some see a stage in fulfillment of these passages coming on May 21, 2011 (a day they say is 7000 years to the date following the flood of Noah).

January 4 Matthew 4:12-25;

Matthew 4:13-15; "Leaving Nazareth [set apart, anointed], he went and lived in Capernaum [city of sorrow/grief]...in the area of Zebulun [glorious dwelling] and Naphtali [my wrestling]... the way to the sea, along the Jordan [descend/humble], Galilee of the Gentiles [circuit of man's understanding]

January 5 Matthew 5:1-26;

Matthew 5:25a; "Settle matters quickly with your adversary" vs.14b-16; "A city on a hill cannot be hidden...let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father" vs.5-9; "the meek...will inherit the earth...thirst for righteousness...be shown mercy...see God...be called sons of God"

Scriptural note; Mark 11:9; "Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" Romans 8:29b; "be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." Psalm 37:37; "observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace"

January 6 Matthew 5:27-48;

Matthew 5:43-45a; "You have heard that it was said 'Love your neighbor (see 11 verses attached) and hate your enemy (no other verse in the bible).' But I tell you: Love your enemies [bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you], and pray for those who persecute you that you may be sons of your Father"

1.Leviticus 19:18‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD."

2.Zechariah 8:17 "do not plot evil against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the LORD."

3.Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’"

4.Matthew 19:19 "honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

5.Matthew 22:39; "And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"

6.Mark 12:31; "The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

7.Mark 12:33; "To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

8.Luke 10:27; "He answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

9.Romans 13:9; "The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

10.Galatians 5:14; "The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

11.James 2:8; "If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right."

Scriptural Note: Jeremiah 30:13-15; "There is no one to plead your cause, no remedy for your sore, no healing for you...Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure? Because of your great guilt and many sins I have done these things to you" Luke 10:34;"He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine"

January 7 Matthew 6:1-24;

Genesis 16:12 "You shall name him Ishmael [the Lord has heard my misery]... everyone's hand against him, and he will live [to the east of] all his brothers" Matthew 6:6b-9a; "pray to your Father, who is unseen...who sees what is done in secret...your Father knows...This, then is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven'"

Scriptural and personal note: Matthew 6:24; "No one can serve two masters...he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other" Perhaps we've always missed the greater point as "money" has been set in the place of d'evil.

Quote from Abarim Publications: ‎"There are to be no powers between any human and the Creator, and this includes governments, theologies, sciences, fears, the Pope, saints, any limitation, any vicarious instrument, person or institute out of any motivation whether benevolent or not. Nothing and nothing at all is to be between man and Maker."

January 8 Matthew 6:25-7:14;

Matthew 7:13b; "The narrow gate" Matthew 6:33-7:12; "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness... do not worry about tomorrow... Each day has enough trouble of its own... For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged... do not throw your pearls to pigs... in everything do to others what you would have them do"

January 9 Matthew 7:15-29;

Matthew 7:15--23; "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise... a bad tree bears bad fruit... I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you.'"

"Agora", I believe, is one of the most powerful movies of our time - even though it portrays the evil inherent in Christian history! The truth I have found Biblically is that religions are depicted as women. In the council of the sons of God of Psalm 82, religion is not allowed to speak! Man must rise to speak as individuals.

Christians must by necessity represent the Spirit of the Word of God by their Love, their Joy, and their Peace. Personal salvation bears no merit if it is not represented in an attitude of humility before our fellowman; thereby glorifying our Father's Love for all of His Children.

January 10 Matthew 8:1-17;

Genesis 24:46;"She [Rebekah/Security]quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder and said, 'Drink, and I'll water your camels [basins of witness]too."Matthew 8:11;"I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast...But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown...into the darkness"

January 11 Matthew 8:18-34;

Matthew 8:32; "He [YHWH is Salvation] said to them [demons of religious self infliction] 'Go' So they went out and went into the pigs [most abhored religious animal] and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water." I Peter 3:21b; "water symbolizes baptism that now saves you "

January 12 Matthew 9:1-17;

Matthew 9:3b-8; "the teachers of the law said to themselves, 'This fellow is blaspheming!' Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, 'Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?...the son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins...When the crowd saw this...they praised God, who had given such authority to men."

January 13 Matthew 9:18-38

Matthew 9:28-29; "When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, 'Do you believe...' 'Yes Lord, ' they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, 'According to your faith will it be done to you'; vs.23-24; "Jesus entered the rulers house and saw the flute players...he said 'Go away. The girl is not dead'"

His story is not about what Jesus did or is doing apart from the Father; His story is about what the Father is doing through this son of man - and what He is doing through each one of us; all because He wrought salvation through His wisdom manifested through flesh.

In answer to a reader's request "Help me get saved"; Hebrews 11:6 states; "Believe God exists and that He rewards those who seek Him." He has forgiven your sins because He loves you and you are saved! Now, watch His mighty hand at work and serve His Kingdom as you love and serve your fellowman.

January 14 Matthew 10:1-25

Matthew 10:25b; "If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household" vs.16b; "Therefore be as shrews as snakes and as innocent as doves" vs. 20; "for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you." John 17:22b; "they may be one as we are one"

Matthew 10:2-4; "These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon [rock or stone i.e. Peter (Petros = easily moveable fragment of rock, while Petra (Living God) was referred to by Jesus in Matthew 16:18], and his brother Andrew [manly]; James [English for Jacob (supplanter/deceiver)], son of Zebedee [my gift], continued: and his brother John [English for YWHW is Gracious]; Philip [Lover of horses] and Bartholomew [son of Tolmai (boldness?), i.e Nathanael (Provided by God)], Thomas [i.e. dydimus (both mean 'a twin')], and Matthew [i.e. Levi (attach to God)], James son of Alphaeus [changing (also father of Matthew)], Thaddaeus [i.e. Judas/Judah (witness/Praise God's or man's character)], Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot [men of the cities] who betrayed him.

Thus, Judas Iscariot [witness the men of the cities] may well represent all of us.

Special note on current news of the day:

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn." Matthew 24:30

Ophiuchus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiuchus

The Bible reflects God wrestling with the sons of men - leviathan! Although all the interpretations I have read reflect leviathan/Egypt, only the first reflected Joseph as the man. Regardless of which ever interpretation we give it, it is a son of man wrestling the beast! Joseph etymology [add/do again] reflects the cycle. (Also, "serpent-bearer", is very symbolic of Christ taking on the sin of the world)

January 15 Matthew 10:26-11:6

Matthew 10:34;"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth,I have not come to bring peace, but a sword ["the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" Eph. 6:17]"vs.26b-28;"There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known...what is whispered...proclaim"

January 16 Matthew 11:7-30

Matthew 11:25b;"you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children" Exodus 3:8; "I have come down to...bring them...into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey...home of the Canaanites" Matthew 11:27;"All things have been committed to me by my father"

The Good News of the Great Commission claimed there was NO victory in death! It had everything to do with joy and praise for what Christ hath done for the dust of the earth - and the overwhelming Love of Our Father.

January 17 Matthew 12:1-21

Ezekiel 32:27; "A bed is made for her among the slain... Because their terror had spread in the land of the living" Matthew 12:10-11; "they asked him, 'Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?' He said to them, 'If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?'"

I must speak out against my war-mongering church! They claim peace is not possible in spite of the Holy Spirit! They claim religious favoritism justified by zionism thereby prolonging violence without peace talks, committing Christians and all Abrahamic believers into mortal conflict in spite of judgment day.

The Messiah spoke to this "self sacrificial" idealism of Christianity and Zionism in Matthew 11:23 symbolized by Capernaum [city of sorrows]. "And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths."

Acts 2:38b; "Repent and be baptized"

Korazin [furnace of smoke] and Bethsaida [house of fishes], Jerusalem [way of Peace] and the dead sea, the lowest saltiest land mass in the world shall be gathered together in an hour of cleansing and renewal which shall shatter our spiritually warring world as we know it. Repent and be baptized.

January 18 Matthew 12:22-45

Matthew 12:22-32; "Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see...they (Pharisees/unleavened) said, 'It is only by Beelzebub [lord of judging words vs. words of salvation]... blasphemy against the Spirit [haima/blood/sacrificial atonement/breath of God] will not be forgiven" Rev.9:20-21 "repent"

January 19 Matthew 12:46-13:23

Matthew 13:15a;"For this people's heart has become calloused" Gal.4:25;"Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem" Deuteronomy 32:36;"The LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free"

January 20 Matthew 13:24-46

Matthew 13:15a;"For this people's heart has become calloused" Gal.4:25;"Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem" Deuteronomy 32:36;"The LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free"

January 21 Matthew 13:47-14:12

Matthew 13:57b; "Only in his hometown... is a prophet without honor" Malachi 3:3; "He will sit as a refiner and purifier" Psalm 35:16; "Like the ungodly they maliciously mocked ; they gnashed their teeth at me." Matthew 13:52b; "The owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old"

January 22 Matthew 13:14:13-36

Matthew 14:31b-33; "Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. 'You of little faith,' he said, 'why did you doubt?' And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, 'Truly you are the Son of God.'" Luke 1:35; "the power of the Most High will overshadow you..."

Notes on the word "destroy" from Abarim Publications: "Shaddai is a divine name but not a creation name. It is first used in Genesis 17:1 where YHWH introduces Himself to Abram, saying "I am El Shaddai."

God commands Abram to be blameless and promises him the covenant. Then He changes Abram's name to Abraham.

The meaning of Shaddai is difficult to establish. Septuagint and Vulgate say Almighty (pantokrator and omnipotens) but that's probably more out of enthusiasm than out of sound etymology (it really doesn't mean that). Some say that this name is derived from the verb (shadad 2331), meaning to destroy, hence: My Destroyer. Others furiously refute this because this meaning would go against the nature of God. Isaiah, however, seems to be in the camp of the first when he writes, "Wail, for the day of YHWH is near. It will come as destruction (shad) from Shaddai (13:6)"

Those of the latter camp suggest that Shaddai comes from sadu, a word meaning mountain in the Babylonian (Akkadian) language that Abram spoke. El Of The Mountain, or El of the Gathering.

Some other ideas:

The rabbinic theory is that may be formed by the particle , meaning who, which, or where, or that, plus the word , meaning sufficient, enough. Hence the name Shaddai contains the meaning of Self-Sufficient. This is particularly interesting in light of Psalm 8:5.

may be a derivation of the unused verb , which probably has to do with to moisten or to pour (judging from the cognates and derivatives). One of those derivatives is the word , breast, bosom, used both in erotic scenes and the practical usage of feeding babies. A relation with the name Shaddai is not unthinkable, as this is the name by which God initiates the covenant of which Jesus is the final fulfillment. The apostle Paul compares introduction to the basics of the gospel with feeding milk to infants (1 Cor 3:1-2).

The name Shaddai may have originated in Akkadian, meaning Mountain, but to a Hebrew audience that hears God introduces Himself as El Shaddai, it must have meant both Destroyer, Self-Sufficient One and Source Of Food."

The crazy thing about putting a name on God is it generally "destroy"s us and puts us in enmity with our fellowman. Shadow, the lesser light of the night! An interesting study reflects that Jesus never referred to Himself as "Son of God". However, when presented with the title He did not deny it, but also reflected that all men were "Sons of God." Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34. Amazingly, through many translations, the truth of this study remains sound!

Personal note: It has been difficult for me to avoid the feeling this is a year of new beginnings. Today's reading of Matthew included the feeding of the 5000. Jesus told us to pay special attention to the numbers "5 loaves of bread and 2 fish" to feed al...l the people. In reflecting on this, It was brought to mind that the Hebrew Calendar year is 5771 and the Christian Era Calendar year is 2011. The Bible reflects both sects of Abrahamic Religiosity bringing us these words (grains) of life which shall come to all people. The third sect of Abrahamic Religiosity seems insignificant and separated, and therein lies its importance as we have seen.

January 23 Matthew 15:1-28

Matthew 15:21-28a;"Leaving...(Gennesaret [garden of blessings]) Jesus[Salvation] withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon[Impenetrable rock and Ships of judgment/ hunter's lodge]...'Lord,' she (The Canaanite[insignificant] said,)'...even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table'...'Woman, you have great faith!"

January 24 Matthew 15:29-16:12

Matthew 15:39-16:4; "After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan (i.e. Magdalene/Migdal El [watchtower of God, Power of Holy People])... A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none shall be given it except the sign of Jonah.'"

This reflection can go a bit further in understanding this era (7000 lunar years) since the flood as the famine - separation from the presence of God - in the fact Jesus spent 3 days (30 years) with us here on this "hell" on earth. As we ride this boat in a time of seemingly unending violence, it is time to recognize the responsible party and mourn as it is tossed back into the sea - i.e. the reflections on the "crucifixion" of this "land bridge" into the middle earth i.e. "Mediterranean sea".

Matthew 16:9-12; "Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves [Jewish calendar reflects 5 completed sun millenniums] and how many basketfuls you gathered [12 resembling tribes of Israel/whole of humanity]? Or the seven loaves [Lunar calendar represents 7000 years] for the 4000 [lesser light?] (the fish in each story may well represent the Christian era (fisher's of men)) and how many basketfuls you gathered? [(7) representing completeness once again]... then they understood (he was telling them to guard against the teaching (judgment & condemnation - favoritism - theology of separation of men from God as opposed to Matthew 13:33).

January 25 Matthew 16:13-17:9

Daniel 12:7; "When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed." Matthew 16:13b-17:2; Jesus [YHWH is Salvation] came to the region of Caesarea Philippi [severed love of power]... Peter answered, 'You are the [Messiah]... After six days Jesus... was transfigured... his clothes became...white"

January 26 Matthew 17:10-27

Matthew 17:11-12; "Jesus [YHWH is Salvation] replied, 'To be sure, Elijah [YHWH is God] comes and will restore all things. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands."

January 27 Matthew 18:1-22

Psalm 80:12; "Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?" Matthew 18:3-10; "unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven... Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin... cut it off and throw it away" (c John 15:2)

Personal note: If [YWHW's Salvation] is the only way, there is no other way! Our desire to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil causes death every time. Resist ideologies of an evil kingdom. Seek first His Kingdom of Righteousness and all things will be added to you.

January 28 Matthew 18:23-19:12

Matthew 19:1b-4; "he [YHWH's Salvation] left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan [humbling] Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there. Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, 'Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife [religion?]... at the beginning the creator made them."

Personal Note: For those who may have missed this, I have been witnessing the steps of religious understanding through the character references of women throughout Genesis. Although this may be wrong, it does shed light on the role of women within the greater church. Men must speak of God individually, not through the hostilities of religious attachments.

Personal Note: According to Jesus, the "righteousness" of the Pharisee is still good role to live up to. However, God is the Father of each one of us and we have no right to judge His revelation to another of His Children. The idea alive and well in the world today is that Peace is not possible until Jesus comes again. His Spirit is everywhere now and His Crucifixion did indeed make our Peace possible if we will just believe.

January 29 Matthew 19:13-30

Matthew 19:13-14a; "little children [yes historically, but think spiritually] were brought to Jesus [YHWH's Salvation] for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such"Personal Note Did you ever realize neither God nor Jesus ever rebuked anyone besides the chosen or the elect or the demons? Here are the verses that include either the words Jesus or God with the word rebuke. Just left click on the link to bring up the verses from the NIV;

Matthew 17:18 "Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.

Genesis 31:42 "If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you.”

1 Samuel 2:25 "If one person sins against another, God may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the LORD, who will intercede for them?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the LORD’s will to put them to death."

2 Kings 19:4 "It may be that the LORD your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the LORD your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives.”

Nehemiah 13:11 "So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?” Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts."

Nehemiah 13:25 "I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves."

Jeremiah 2:19 "Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty."

Zephaniah 3:17 "The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing."

Mark 8:33 "But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Luke 4:41 "Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah."

Luke 23:40 "But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence?")

January 30 Matthew 20:1-28

Matthew20:27b-28;"whoever wants to be first must be your slave-just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" Matthew20:14-15;"I [landowner]want to pay the man who was hired last the same as I gave you. Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money?"

January 31 Matthew 20:29-21:22

Matthew 20:33-21:20;"'Lord'...'we want our sight...Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling...Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went to it but found nothing on it...he said to it 'May you never bear fruit again'" Revelation 18:14-15;"The fruit you longed for is gone...merchants...weep and mourn"

Personal Note: II Thessalonians 2:8; "And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming." Israel has been ignoring UN sanctions against the atrocities committed within Palestine since 1948.

Revelations 16:14 speaks of the signs that seem to have justified Zionism for many religious bodies. "spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty"

Personal Note: For those of you who may be concerned about the concerns I am raising for the Holy Land, please understand the mourning and the warning that comes with these posts. I have friends in Israel and Palestine! I know we are nearing the last times and I feel called to reference Revelation 18:4; "“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;". Many are expecting a great and terrible day on May 21, 2011 which shall show forth the glory and power of God! For me, current events and Biblical Prophecy warrant this warning's and I feel called to reference Revelation 18:4; "“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;". Personal Note: I so often hear that there was no one in Palestine before 1948 - what a wonderful opportunity to remember the Holy Land before the past 63 years! May Peace return! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKYJ2WD79RE (old Palestinian photos)

Joel 2:1;"Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming." Matthew 21:40-41;"when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?...give him his share of the crop at harvestime"Rev.19:1;"glory and power belong to our God"

February 2 Matthew 22:1-33

Mat.22:6b-11;"the rest seized his servants...and killed them. The king was enraged...'Friend,... how did you get in here without wedding clothes?'" Zechariah 3:2b; "Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you!" Isaiah 4:4a; "The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion;" (religions of insignificants?)

February 3 Matthew 22:34-23:12

Matthew 23:1b-12; "Jesus said to the crowds...The teachers of the law...sit in Moses' seat...they do not practice what they preach...Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries [That is, boxes containing Scripture verses worn on forehead and arm"] Deut.6:8; "symbols on your hands and...foreheads"

Personal Note: Using scripture in condemnation and judgment of our fellowman could well be the mark of the beast (This "Power of Holy People" of Daniel 12) spoken of in Revelation 13:16. Jesus changed the fear of a God of wrath and judgment to that of a Loving God. Matthew 22:37-39; "Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God...And..."Love your neighbor as yourself" Some Christian Bible versions such as NIV and ESV change Revelation 13:10 (KJV) "he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword" to state; "If anyone is to be killed[c] with the sword, with the sword he will be killed." (NIV1984)

As the verse continues; "this calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints" I must assume this means when we are attacked, we do not lash out in self-defense - killing our fellowman. And we must never use our "Holy Power" of the knowledge of the scripture to control or oppress fellow human beings.

Personal Note: If I may be so bold as to carry this one step further to "even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men" of Revelation 13:13; one may think of Hiroshima, and the power that refuses to allow oppressed nations to use such power to bring energy to their people.

February 4 Matthew 23:13-39

Matthew 23:13b-35; "Woe to you, teachers of the law...You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces...You...win a single convert, and...make him twice as much a son of hell as you are...Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?...And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth"

Additional Scripture: I John 4:10; "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

February 5 Matthew 24:1-28

Exodus 20:26; "do not go up to my altar on steps, lest your nakedness be exposed on it." Matthew 23:12a; "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled" Matthew 24:12-13; "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."

Personal Note: For many of us, it has become a lie to claim our faith is in the Lord - as our faith is in the strength of our military. Lord have mercy. (Lindell Cooley song Kyrie, Lord Have Mercy)

Scripture Notes: Revelation 13:11-18; "Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb[similar to Christ?], but he spoke like a dragon [war and destruction?]. 12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast [Israel?] on ......his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast [Zionism?], whose fatal wound [dispersion] had been healed. 13 And he performed great and miraculous signs [ '67 war etc.?], even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men [Hiroshima?]. 14 Because of the signs [imagery of divine power for Zionism?] he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword [dispersion according to the Word of God?] and yet lived. 15 He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed [believe the "right" Jesus or go to hell?] 16 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead [outward observance of the law (Exodus 13:16, Matthew 23:5)], 17 so that no one could buy or sell [communicate salvation apart from their image?] unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

18 This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666."

I Kings 10:14; "[Solomon’s Splendor] The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents," (Also II Chronicles 9:13)

Ezra 2:13; "of Adonikam 666" [etymology of Adonikam is 'whom the Lord sets up].

However, the beauty is, there may be hope for the people of the "Holy Land" - and through them, perhaps, a lesson for all mankind:

Romans 4:13-16a;

13 "It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14 For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, 15 because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed"

February 6 Matthew 24:29-51

Matthew 24:45-46; "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns." Luke 10:23b; "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see."

Scripture Notes Isaiah 11:6; "6 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. Luke 18:16b; "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

I Corinthians 16:18; "For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition."

February 7 Matthew 25:1-30

I Corinthian 13:2b; "if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." Matthew 25:5b-29; "The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut... Therefore keep watch... Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him."

February 8 Matthew 25:31-26:13

Matthew 25:35b;"I was a stranger and you invited me in" Mat.26:6-7; Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with...very expensive perfume" Mat.25:43b;"I was a stranger and you did not invite me in" Mat.26:3b-4a;"in the palace of the high priest...they plotted to arrest...and kill"

Scripture Notes: Matthew 26:13; "I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her." Matthew 24:12-13; "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations" James 2:26; "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."

February 9 Matthew 26:14-46

Matthew 26:31a; "Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me" vs.28a; "This is my blood of the covenant" Zechariah12:10b-13:1; "They will look on[b] me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn... “On that day a fountain will be opened to...the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them"

Scripture Notes: Jeremiah 49:12; "This is what the LORD says: "If those who do not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, why should you go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, but must drink it."

Scripture Notes: Matthew 26:26b; "Take and eat; this is my body."

Isaiah 41:26-29; "26 Who told of this from the beginning, so we could know, or beforehand, so we could say, ‘He was right’? No one told of this, no one foretold it, no one heard any words from you. 27 I was the first to tell Zion, ‘Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings. 28 I look but there is no one— no one among them to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them. 29 See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.

Personal Note A comment on Judas Iscariot mentioned in Matthew 26:14 as the betrayer of Jesus; His name, Judas, means the same as Judah (Praise YHWH) and the name Iscariot (men of Kerioth [the cities]) This ties in well with verse 31; This very night you will all fall away. In some way, we have all betrayed the Love and Peace of our Lord.

February 10 Matthew 26:47-68

Leviticus 24:11-14; "The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name...the entire assembly is to stone him." Matthew 26:63b-66; "Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.' Yes, it is as you say'...'He is worthy of death,' they answered" vs.56; "this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled"

Scripture Note: Zechariah 2:7-11a; "Come, O Zion! Escape, you who live in the Daughter of Babylon!... After he has honored me... for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye... I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them... Many nations will be joined...and will become my people."

Personal Note: Just as Christ's crucifixion had to come, so I believe Zionism is a fulfillment of scripture - a further act of God in drawing all men to himself. That is why the world must keep watch so as to recognize the hand of God at work within the Holy Land in bringing about His Peace to men with whom He is well pleased. What has happened in Egypt today is BIG news. I fully expect the power of Holy People will continue to crumble as men and women worldwide seek peace and an end to oppression. Israel has been deemed today as the last vestige of apartheid on earth. KEEP PRAYING FOR PEACE!

February 11 Matthew 26:69-27:14

Matthew 27:11b; "'Are you the king of the Jews?' 'Yes, it is as you say'" Matthew 13:12; "But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 26:25; "And (Peter) went outside and wept bitterly" 27:4; "I have sinned, (Judas) said"

Scripture Note: Ezekiel 16:53; "“‘However, I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters and of Samaria and her daughters, and your fortunes along with them"

February 12 Matthew 27:15-31

Matthew 27:25; "ALL THE PEOPLE answered, 'Let his blood be on us and on our children" Jeremiah 3:23; "Surely the idolatrous commotion on the hills and mountains is a deception; surely in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel." Hebrews 9:12b; "once FOR ALL by his own blood...eternal redemption."

February 13 Matthew 27:32-66

Matthew 27:42b-44; "'He's the King of Israel!...In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him." John 10:8-10a; "All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers...I am the gate...The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life"

Additional Notes regarding Amnesty International's recognition of Egypt's Solidarity

Jesus Christ was sent to the people of Israel to destroy the imagery of a "God of the Jacobites" to the understanding of YHWH is Salvation of all of Creation. He was the face (wisdom) of God's Powerful Gift of Love. Not humanity's right, but God's Right - His Desire - His Love. If we give Him a Name in partiality, we die a bit inside.

Personal and Scriptural Notes: Islamophobia stems from a poisonous venom in those bitten in fear of a snake - a venomous desire to know good and evil. Matthew 3:8 and Luke 3:8b; "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance"

Personal Note: I pray this message might be heard in America and Israel before this sea of humanity flows into the Holy Land in an act of divine liberation and change - one more step toward Heaven.

"America and Israel; You will not be destroyed if you humble yourselves, fall on your knees, and confess your sins to your fellowman. Clear warnings of judgment day have been given."

The Power of communicating as a Body of Peace has come.

February 14 Matthew 28:1-20

‎2 religious questions answered by Jesus; 1.Is Peace possible before Christ comes again? Matthew 28:20b; "surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" 2.Is some devil in control of earth? Matthew 28:18b-19a; "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me...go and make disciples of all"

Genesis posts from One Year Bible Blogging on Facebook

Genesis Commentary from One Year Bible Blogging and my Facebook Profile.

January 1 Genesis 1:1-2:25; From One Year Bible Blogging:

Genesis 1:2b-10a; "the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters... God said, 'Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water... 'Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground [Zion, wilderness of sin?] appear... the gathered waters he called seas"

Note: Revelation 21:1; "Then I [John (the revealer)] saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."
From Profile:

God made two great lights. The greater light ruled day and the lesser light ruled the night [consider the howling!]. Eden [pleasure] watered the garden [Carmel? and Armageddon come to mind] Two options in God's garden; eternal life or the knowledge of good and evil. 2nd coming? It's time for enlightenment again.

His Story of the four rivers of Eden: Pleasure was scattered as it wound through materialistic lands. Darkness burst forth in the power and wisdom of Holy People. God separated and anointed man's rapids of warring thorny factions of ideology eventually returning them to the fruitfulness available through His Spirit of Peace.

January 2 Genesis 3:1-4:26;

Mat.5:22; "anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell" Genesis 3:5b; "[Will<->you] be like God, knowing good and evil[?]" Deut.8:15; "He led you through the vast and dreadful desert" Numbers 21:6; "the LORD sent venomous snakes" Job 26:13; "his hand pierced the gliding serpent"

Genesis 4:23-24;"Lamech[Power to humble] said to his wives, 'Adah[cycles of bloodshed and decoration] and Zillah[darkness, shadow, locusts]...I have killed...If Cain [with YHWH, I have gotten] is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times." Matthew 18:31;"the other servants saw what had happened...and told their master"

January 3 Genesis 5:1-7:24;

Genesis 6:2-3b; "the sons of God [adam] saw that the daughters [religions?] of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, 'My Spirit will not contend [Israel] with man forever, for he is mortal" Gen.6:11b-12; "full of violence. God saw...the people on earth had corrupted their ways [religion?]"

Note: Genesis 5; Seth [scum of man's image] Enosh [Mortal incurable]Kenan [offspring of Cain] Mahalalel [Praise God] Jared [descend into the river of humility (Jordan)] Enoch [dedicate, pierce, make wise] Methuselah [When he is dead, it shall be sent] Lamech [power to humble] begat Noah [sleep in Heavenly peace].

Genesis 7:11b;"on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened" I Peter 3:21b;"this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God...by the resurrection of Jesus Christ"

January 4 Genesis 8:1-10:32;

Genesis 8:12-13b; "He waited 7 more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return...Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry. "Revelation 11:19b; "heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant" Mat.24:27; "lightning...comes from the east"

January 5 Genesis 11:1-13:4;

Etymologies of Genesis 11:10-26; Shem [Name] Arphaxad [cursed mother's milk] Shelah [toss branch/seek peace] Eber [lead us beyond] Peleg [split/divide] (his brother Joktan [small/insignificant]) Reu [friendly pasture/shatter evil] Serug [twisted branch] Nahor [charring breath] Terah [delay/wander] Abram [father/pride]

Additional personal notes:
1. Abram was the first to be called Hebrew [see Eber and also understand traditionally this has meant strangers in a land not their own (It all belongs to YHWH)] Abram's name was changed to Abraham which denotes the covenant wherin he would mend the division [see Peleg & Joktan].
2. Two other items of note: Ab-ra-Ham places the covenant between [Abba Father] and Ham [heat/wrath/red/flame] who was the father of Canaan [Humbled/oppressed]. Also, according to the scripture, Shem [name] was only outlived by Eber. Abram died 35 years before Shem.

January 6 Genesis 13:5-15:21;

Genesis 14:3; "All these latter kings joined forces in the Valley of Siddim [Field of Demons] (the Salt Sea). For twelve years they had been subject to Kedorlaomer [handful of sheaves for eternity]" Rev. 16:12b-13a; "its water was dried up to prepare the way...Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came"

Further reflections: A bit of digging through Scriptural archaeology unearths the following:

Bera king of Sodom: [through evil, the burnt offering of destruction]

Birsha king of Gomorrah [son of wrath binds sheaves of fear]

Shinab King of Admah [Splendor of the Father of man]

Shemeber king of Zeboiim [Name of One who leads to pleasant fields]

These four were defeated in the field of demons by:

Amraphel king of Shinar [Hyena rips rebellion of the youthful city]

Arioch king of Ellasar [Lionlike - binding of God]

Kedorlaomer king of Elam [narrow way of the hidden meaning]

Tidal king of Goiim [Great son of the day]

2. Mark 9:50; "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other." Here is a parable not found in the Bible: When ripe field grass is bound tightly together, there is severe risk of spontaneous combustion.

3. http://firstlegend.info/nephilimandraphaim.html These are some of the stories of ancient legend I uncovered that are referenced by Moses in Genesis 6:4. Much of this ancient religious thought was laid to rest in the dust of the earth in this "field of demons".

4. Etymologically, Genesis 14 becomes the most fascinating chapter of His Story I have ever read. It concludes with a blessing which is actually a curse. "to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share" Meaning:"As they cluster (stagnate) in their knowledge of good and evil, let this blessing of milk become sour"

5. Ancient Biblical mythology portrays an enemy and a friend. Further revelations reflected a Father figure as disciplinarian with a "bride" in Baal's and Asherah's! As we grew, He stated vengeance is mine and love your enemy. The portrayal of bride and bridegroom changed to Heaven and earth. Maturing identification sees the Alpha and Omega.

6. quote: "Hebrews were the first to incorporate vowels in their written text, and by doing this the previously esoteric art of writing and reading became available to the masses." http://www.abarim-publications.com/Book_Review/Hoffman_In_The_Beginning.html

7. Genesis 13:14b-15; "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land [eretz] that you see I will give to you and your offspring [the dust of the earth/the creation of our Father (vs.16) everything and everyone who is, was, or evermore shall be] forever."

January 7 Genesis 16:1-18:19;

Genesis 16:4b-5a; "When she (Hagar [dragged away] often [slave woman]) knew she was pregnant [pregnant often symbolizes [blessed or filled] with the spirit] she began to despise her mistress. Then Sarai [princess] said to Abram [father of pride] 'You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering'"

Associated verses: Philemon 1:15-16; "Perhaps the reason he was separated from you for a little while was that you might have him back for good-no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you, both as a man and as a brother in the Lord"

January 8 Genesis 18:20-19:38;

Genesis 19:23; "By the time Lot [pebbles of choice] reached Zoar [destruction of significance/humbling], the sun had risen over the land [earth]. Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom [Burnt offering] and Gomorrah [bundled sheaves of fear] from the Lord out of the heavens [all seeing/all knowing]

Associated verses: Ezekiel 16:21; "You slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols." Revelation 18:4; Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;" Genesis 19:17; "Flee... or you will be swept away"

January 9 Genesis 20:1-22:24;

Genesis 20:3b-6a; "God came to Abimelech in a dream one night and said to him, 'You are as good as dead'... Now Abimelech... said, 'Lord will you destroy an innocent nation... I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands... God said...'Yes, I know'" John 8:11b; "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Genesis 20;11-21:11; "I said to myself, 'There is surely no fear of God in this place... Sarah... said to Abraham, 'Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave... will never share in the inheritance... The matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son" John 20:17; "Jesus said, 'Do not hold on to me'"

Associated verses: Jeremiah 23:14; "among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers" Exodus 15:25; "the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet."

Personal Notes: 1. If you are holding on to the branch and hitting others with it, it will burn your hands. Break it and give it away... over and over and over... until the whole loaf is leavened.

2. Until we believe "Peace is Possible" we will remain condemned to experience the sting of death. It is "blasphemy" to withhold the "body and blood of our Lord shed" with our fellowman as we continue to walk in sin with them. This generation has witnessed that Peace is possible in both Northern Ireland and South Africa! It is finished! Error! Hyperlink reference not valid."It Is Finished" By The Gaither Vocal Band

3. ‎"It is Finished" the three most powerful words of scripture for believers today! In speaking to Muslims, I find many share the belief of Christians in that Peace is not Possible until Christ returns. This is the reason they believe He did not die in atonement. This is why we are delaying the fellowship offering of the whole body of Christ.

January 10 Genesis 23:1-24:51;

Genesis 23:3b-7; "Abraham rose from beside his dead wife and spoke to the Hittites [children of terror]. He said, I am an alien and a stranger among you. Sell me some property for a burial site... The Hittites replied... 'Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince among us... None of us will refuse... Abraham rose and bowed down"

Personal Note; So often overwhelmed by this sea of humanity, we find fulfillment of the first commandment in pursuit of the 2nd which is like unto it! By Loving our neighbor as our self, we find we are loving God and seeing His Hand influencing and changing our lives.

January 11 Genesis 24:52-26:16;

Genesis 25:1-2; "Abraham [Daddy covenants the sons of wrath] took another wife, whose name was Keurah [incense/sacrifice]. She bore him Zimran [localized worship], Jokshan [setting a trap], Medan [judge/contend], Median [enmity/strife], Ishbak [He releases], and Shuah [humble/grave]." Yeshua [YHWH saves from the grave]

January 12, Genesis 26:17-27:46;

Wells of Genesis 26:21-23; "Sitnah" [statement of accusation against a neighbor i.e. satan]; "Rehoboth" [wide city or highway to flourish] "Beersheba" [well of the sevenfold oath] note: sheba [oath] correlates with Abimelech [my father is king] Abraham [my father covenants sons of wrath] Hagar [The Lord sees me]... continuation of "Sheba" [sevenfold oath] Isaac [laughter of gladness] Jacob [take by the heel, troop, footstep, deceit] Bathsheba [daughter of the oath (wife of a Hittite)] Queen of Sheba [royalty of burnt faces of the sevenfold oath]. (burnt faces refers to the etymology of Ethiopia)

another etymological search reveals that Isaac [laughter/joy] marries Rebekah [beautiful snare/noose]. Their son Esau [man of earth] marries Judith [Jewess/Praise YHWH] and Basemath [sweet fragrance] who become a source of grief. Genesis 26:34-35.

Genesis 27:12; "What if my father touches me? i would appear to be tricking him and would bring down a curse on myself rather than a blessing" The response here should be "Ooh, that's righteous dude!" Screen Doorwww.youtube.com

January 13, Genesis 28:1-29:35;

Genesis 27:46-28:2b; "Rebekah [beautiful noose] said to Isaac [joy of salvation] I'm disgusted with living because of these Hittite women [products of terror]. If Jacob [deceiver] takes a wife from among the women of this land...my life will not be worth living...Go at once to Padan Aram [ransom of holiness]...Bethuel [city of God]

If we continue this prophecy, with Genesis 28:2b-3a, we read; "Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban [daughters of purified whiteness], your mother's brother. May God Almighty bless you...and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples.

Genesis 28:6-9; "Now Esau [man of the earth/dustling] learned that Isaac [joy of salvation] had blessed Jacob [deceiver]...went to Ishmael [He will hear God] and married Mahalath [Grieve a sad tune], the sister of Nebaioth [Prophecy regarding the high places], daughter of Ishmael, son of Abraham [Daddy covenants children of wrath]

Personal Note: Ok, this discerning the scriptures and times has some reason - so here goes a warning: A year ago, God found a fault with Haiti-that should have been a warning to all. Our Southern neighbors just suffered baptism by water. May 21st may well represent greater faults as the vultures gather and walls come down.

I won't so much expect a "rapture", but a "rupture" is indeed more biblical as the dead are left to bury the dead - Salvation shall come from the east, and we shall see God's feet on the Mount of Olives, and recognize that peace is indeed not only possible, but necessary!

Prepare the footstool, get out of the promised land. I would be remiss at this point not to send out this warning - my apologies if I sound crazy, but I can only hope that what I have seen does not come to pass. Not my link - and I don't have time to check his math, but a world should be aware and watching. If not, we may miss seeing the feet of God.http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.t-cog.org%2FArticles%2FNOAH%27S%2520FLOOD%2520AND%2... refer to Jeremiah 13.

January 14: Genesis 30:1-31:16;

Rachel [Ewe] grew impatient with no offspring; Genesis 30:5-6; "and she (Bilhah [worn out worthless terror/destruction]) became pregnant and bore him (Jacob[deceiver(d?)]) a son. Then Rachel said, 'God has vindicated me... because of this she named him Dan. [God is a Judge]." We still use that "judgment" to claim vindictiveness.

Genesis 29:7b-8; "Water the sheep and take them back to pasture.' 'We can't,' they [shepherds] replied, 'until all the flocks are gathered and the stone has been rolled away from the mouth of the well. Then we will water the sheep.'" Genesis 28:9; "While he (Jacob) was still talking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess."

Note the similarity of Genesis 30:5-6 above and Luke 18:3-7a; "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!’ And the Lord said, 'Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice"

Etymologies of the Sons of Israel: Reuben [afflicted vision], Simeon [Hear and Obey/unloved], Levi [Attached to Me], Judah [Praise YHWH], Dan [God is a Judge (through Bilhah [old/worn out)], Naphtali [trophied entanglement of favoritism], Gad [self destructive worship (through Zilpah [sprinkle/drop])], Asher [straightened path of happiness] Issachar [Love paid the price], Zebulun [Honored dwelling place], Dinah [judged/vindicated], Joseph [add/do it again], Benjamin [Son of South/Son of Right Hand/(south generally signifies insignificance)]. If the Biblical image of God (i.e. Temple/worship) faces East, East and South carry huge significance to salvation!

Notes on current events:

January 15: Genesis 31:17-32:12;

Genesis 31:17-18;"Then Jacob [deceiver] put his children and his wives on camels [basins of witness]and he drove all his livestock...with all the goods he had accumulated in Padan Aram[through you I tread the mountains] to go to his father Isaac [joy of salvation] in the land of Canaan [land bridge between three continents]

mediterraneus "midland;" original sense being of "sea in the middle of the earth," from medius "middle" (see medial) + terra "land, earth"

Laban [purified of the mountains] and his relatives camped there (Gilead [perpetual fountain]) too. Then Laban said to Jacob, 'What have you done? You've deceived me, and you've carried off my daughters like captives in war." Rev.18:10; "Terrified...they will stand far off and cry"

Rachel [mother of the lamb] said to her father, 'Don't be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; I'm having my period.' Revelation 16:18b-19; "so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed"

Zechariah 14:11; "never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem [Way, Teaching of Peace] will be secure."

Biblically relative Earth signs: Haiti [Mountain foundations/Gates of Hell] Brazil [Land of Red Dye, Esau (He's taken my...blessing)], Queensland [Sarah (she will be the mother of nations)], Aboriginal [Our Father] Madrid [Mother river/womb] Andreas [Adam/man's pride] Mt. of Olives [Peace].

And last but not least: "Orleans" as a noun 'cities;' as a verb "besieging" (the action of an armed force that surrounds a fortified place and isolates it while continuing to attack)

‎'until all the flocks are gathered and the stone has been rolled away from the mouth of the well. Then we will water the sheep.'" Gen.29:8b

the footprint of God; Genesis 32:10-11a; "I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown...I have become two groups. Save me, I pray" Luke 15:24; "this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found" Rupture, Raptor, Rapture?

I've wondered about the Gaza strip as it is separated from the footprint of the rest of Palestine. The meaning of Gaza [strength of God in battle] may well reflect that Gaza itself may remain as the rest of Israel goes down.

January 16: Genesis 32:13-34:31;

Genesis 34:16b-25; "We'll [Israelites/those who struggle with God] will settle among you [Hivites=community of worshipers] and become one people with you. But if you will not agree to be circumcised, we'll take our sister [Dinah=judged & vindicated/salvation] and go...Simeon and Levi [Beliefs in 'unloveables']...attacked."

The story is consistent! The symbolic "brothers" always seem willing to live in peace and make room for one another, but religious pride - refusing to believe that God Loves all His Creation continues to lead to war and destruction. We must believe in the Milky Way of Peace.

January 17: Genesis 35:1-36:43;

Genesis 35:8; "Now Deborah [Word/Bee Sweetness of the hive], Rebekah's [tie down/securities] nurse, died and was buried under the oak [understandings of god] below Bethel [house of god]. So it was called Allon Bacuth [oak of weeping]. Rev.18:19b; "Woe, O great city, where all... on the sea became rich"

Genesis 35:9b-10; "Jacob [deceiver] returned from Paddan Aram [treading of the mountains], God appeared to him again and blessed him... you will no longer be called Jacob [deceiver]; your name will be Israel [those who wrestled with God - and salvation prevailed]

Genesis 35:11 "And God said to him, "I am God Almighty [ El Shaddai - the God who destroys and commits men to God] be fruitful" Matthew 3:8; "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance"

Genesis 35:13; "Then God went up from him at the place where he had talked with him" Acts 1:11; "Men of Galilee [circuit]," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky?" Gen.35:14-15; "he poured out a drink offering...he also poured oil...called the place...Bethel."

Genesis 35:17-19; "she was having great difficulty in childbirth... don't be afraid, for you have another son" [Ben-oni (son of my trouble)]... So Rachel [mother of the lamb] died and was buried on the way to Ephrath [fruitfulness] (that is Bethlehem [house of sharing the bread=fellowship])

So, what's next? verse 21; "Israel [man wrestles God's Way] moved on again and pitched his tent beyond Migdal Eder [greatness of the flock]. While Israel lived in that region, Reuben [prophetic son] went in and slept with...Bilhah [old, worn out (theology)]" I wish we could drop our ideals of favoritism, wrath, enmity and strife!

On a more personal note: I must speak out against my war-mongering church!

No, you will go down to the depths."

http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/?search=Gather+at+the+River&version1=102&version2=49&version3=9&version4=50&version5=47&searchtype=all Acts 2:38b; "Repent and be baptized"

korazin [furnace of smoke] and Bethsaida [house of fishes], Jerusalem [way of Peace] and the dead sea, the lowest saltiest land mass in the world shall be gathered together in an hour of cleansing and renewal which shall shatter our spiritually warring world as we know it. Repent and be baptized.

January 18: Genesis 37:1-38:30;

Etymologically, the story of Joseph matches the story of Islam: Genesis 37 sets up in Canaan (Land of Merchants/land of humbling) Joseph (do again/YHWH adds) tending flocks with Bilhah [oldest (Judaism)] and Zilpah [sprinkling (Christianity)]'s sons. they hated this new dreamer confined him to the desert & sent him to Egypt.

This interpretation stands to reason as Genesis 37:2 does not mention Leah and Reuben [prophetic vision] and Judah [acknowledgment of YHWH through confession of sin] are both present and spokespersons in verse 21 and 26. The brothers claimed some ferocious animal devoured him just as Judaism and Christianity claim Islam (a very peaceful religion) is borne of evil.

The land of Egypt [Mizraimis a land of confinement in misery and distress] in these sheaves of bondage, there is enmity and strife as is further reflected in the term Midian bringing us back to the merchants.

Yes Reuben [afflicted understandings of salvation], this is the moment we must destroy our clothes and throw dust on our heads in confession of our sin. (vs.29). Jacob does the same in verse 34 as he proclaims; "In mourning will I go down to the grave to my son" not realizing Joseph is alive - just like the Galilean [circuits]

verse 36 finishes with Midianites [strife] selling Joseph [YWHW adds/do it again] to Potifar [giving of the sun god] one of Pharaoh's [leader of a great house] officials. the dogs of Egypt correlate well with Caleb [dog] with Joshua and Gentiles [dogs] with Jesus.

Genesis 38; Judah [Praise YHWH] marries BathShua [daughter of prosperity] bringing forth Er [watchfulness], Onan [strength], and Shelah [prayer]. Shelah was born in Kezib [deceit]. [Praise YHWH] fornicated with Tamar [stiff prosperity] beside the road at Enaim [place of the fountain]. Perez broke out past the scarlet thread.

January 19: Genesis 39:1-41:16;

Read Genesis 39 as a play; Allow Jesus to play the part of Joseph. Allow Egypt to be the stage of the earth. Potifar the nation of Israel, his wife - the Judaic religion of the time. Allow Pharoah to represent God with the Ishmaelites his angels. Prison (death). You will find Jesus given all power and success both in life and in death

‎(please do not imagine I know all truth, I only do my best to discern the scriptures) Regarding Genesis 40; I suspect the three days and the tree hanging represent the crucifixion and resurrection. The cupbearer, the Spirit of Christ; the Baker, the flesh of our Lord. His body is gone, His Spirit remains.

Genesis 41 reflects the passing of 2 days or 2000 years. Pharoah stands by the river of the religions of man. Blasphemies have overwhelmed the blessings wrought by salvation. The Spirit comes alive, reminding men of the truth of the Word of God! Through it, we shall once again find true blessing through coming difficulties!

January 20: Genesis 41:17-42:17;

The (considered) cast of Genesis 41; 7 good years [Spiritual History of God with men before the flood] 7 bad years [some say they end May 21, 2011] Joseph [Jesus] grain [words of scripture] Manasseh [Christianity forgets the roots from whence we came (huMANity)] Ephraim [The forgotten insignificants of Arabia].

vs.45; Joseph is named Zaphenath-Paneah [One who furnishes the nourishment of life - revealing hidden things of the Glorious rest] he marries Asenath [belongs to Wisdom - knowledge of good and evil] Potifera [see Porifera porous rock]. Also, Egypt [world stage] Nile [river of understanding and enlightment]

etymology of the Nile brought up Urim [study of luminaries] and Thumim [with complete integrity/truth] and the city of On brought up Beth-Shemesh [House of Samson, strength of the ancient pillars]

Genesis 42 contemporary paraphrase: The deceiver hears of the [word] and sends (10 sons) to the land of merchants to buy it. The Lord of the land considers them spies and tests them to see if they will bring their youngest brother [will Israel make peace with Islam]. To prove He is serious, he sends them all to prison 3 days...

January 21: Genesis 42:18-43:34;

Genesis 43:16a;"When Joseph [YHWH adds]saw Benjamin [son of the south (insignificance)]with them (Israel), he said...'Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare dinner" Luke 15:21b-24a;"Father, I have sinned...I am no longer worthy...the father said to his servants...this son...was dead and is alive"

January 22: Genesis 44:1-45:28;

Genesis 44:4b-5; "Joseph [YHWH adds] said to his steward [ruler of {religious} house] 'Go after those men... say to them, 'Why have you repaid good with evil? Isn't this the cup [blood/salvation] my master drinks from and also uses for divination [communicating {Love} with men] This is a wicked thing you have done"

‎"Don't you know that a man like me can find things out by divination?" Genesis 45:15b. Devotion is wonderful, but it is by studying every fragment, every grain, every word of scripture that pure gold [God's purity] is separated from silver [man's purity]. Remove the [d (d'evil)] from the Judah and find YHWH.

The question is, "Who has the cup?" Genesis 45:17 states; "Only the man who was found to have the cup will become my slave. The rest of you, go back to your father in peace." Thus, when we allow his enemy (the tares of our sin, fear, enmity, and strife) to become his footstool, He is able to remove it, refining our impurities in preparation of returning erets (creation) back to His Father. I Corinthians 15:28. Presently, the Holy Land (symbolic of enmity within erets) has been gathered by the very angels (words/messages) from God.

If the revelation of Genesis word groups is sound, then for (2 years) 2 millenium, there has been a famine in eretz. For the next (5 years) 5 millenium, there will not be plowing or reaping. But, God is preserving a remnant - God has stored... up the grain in His storehouses. We have acted out within our character references as an ongoing chapter within His Story. (Genesis 45:6-7). Israel is being called home to be with Joseph (and YHWH adds, do it again). The message of Benjamin is that Joseph (YHWH adds, do it again) embraces the sons of sorrow, the sons of seeming insignificance (the sons of the south) as the rest of us must embrace our fellowman as we present ourselves before our loving Father. If I am reading the words of scripture correctly, we are indeed set for 3 devastating years. (3 days). We are set for the beginning of the 3rd millenium of tribulation.

Genesis 45:28; "And Israel said, 'I'm convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."

Don't anybody start any "religions" based on what I am thinking out loud here; just take away some study habits as we experience renewed motivation to study the scriptures. In my third comment above, I mentioned the possibility of a third millenium of tribulation - However, I do not find that speaks with the rest of scripture! I anticipate a tremendous time of peace - and I believe that is reflected to be for those on earth. Therefore, I must consider a coming time of God With Us, a time of renewed enlightenment - a step closer to eternal life for all men. (If the tribulation is reflected in a 7000 year period, I imagine the Bible reflects back on the past 7000 years as we prepare for the next step in the cycle).

January 23, 2011: Genesis 46:1-47:31;

Genesis 46:4-7; "I [God of your father Isaac (Joy of Salvation)] will go down to Egypt with you...Then Jacob left Beersheba [well of the seven oaths] and Israel's sons took their father Jacob...children...wives...the possessions they had acquired in Canaan [land of merchants] and all his offspring...all his offspring."

Genesis 47:20-22; "So Joseph [YWHW adds] bought all the land in Egypt... The Egyptians, one and all, sold their fields, because the famine was too severe for them. The land became Pharaoh's... However he [YHWH adds] did not buy the land of ...the priests." Exodus 19:6; "you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." Isaiah 26:20-21a; " Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling" Genesis 13:16; "I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth" It is becoming clear to me that we are at the end of the 7000 (lunar) years of tribulation or famine. God's return is imminent! He will again speak from Sion and Galilee and call all men unto Himself. We are on the very edge of a Great Awakening! The Jewish Calendar represents 5771 (Sun) years and the Christian Calendar represents 2011 (Sun) years - reflective of the 5 loaves of bread and the 2 fish which fed the 5000.

Genesis 47:29-30; "When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called for his son Joseph [YHWH adds/do it again] and said to him... 'promise that you will show me kindness and faithfulness... carry me out of Egypt and bury me where they [my father's (the covenant and the blood)] are buried."... 'I will do as you say,' he (YHWH adds/do it again) said."

January 24, 2011: Genesis 48:1-49:33;

Genesis 48:1b-3; "Joseph [YHWH adds] was told, 'Your father ([Jacob [deceiver]/Israel [struggles with God]) is ill'. So he took his two sons Manasseh [from forgetfulness and separation] and Ephraim [A pairing of fruitfulness resulting from the ashes]along with him... 'God Almighty appeared to me at Luz (God's place of the ladder vision)

Today's questions; Considering our world within the Biblical context of Galilee (circuits), what religious houses are the offspring of Judaism? If the consistent message is the younger will serve the older (as always happens in these pairings), what should we expect and what should we learn? Moses was told to speak, Jesus fulfilled, What was the insignificant younger brother told to do?

Oops, let's not forget, it is the older brother who takes the place of insignificance upon the passing of the parent.

Matthew 25:33; "He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left." Genesis 48:14a; "But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim's head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh's head, even though..."

Genesis 49:16-33; "Dan (Israel's judgment) will be a serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path...Gad (Israel's self destructive worship - invasive efforts to claim the prize) will be attacked by a band of raiders, but he will attack them at their heels)...When Jacob had finished...he...breathed his last and was gathered"

It is of crucial importance upon the commencement of the Biblical Great and Terrible day of the Lord that men of Spirit, understanding, and insight be able to interpret this eulogy and lead humanity into the coming age.

We are witnessing, not the crucifixion of a people group, but the crucifixion of the Holy Land - in an act of God's redemption of eretz, [the dust of the earth, the sands of the sea.]

in March 1911. Azmi Bey, Turkish governor of Jerusalem ...responded to concerns about Palestinian land sales to Jews:

"We are not xenophobes; we welcome all strangers. We are not anti-Semites; we value the economic superiority of the Jews. But no nation, no government, could open its arms to groups... aiming to take Palestine from us."

(Benny Morris, Righteous Victims, Knopf 1999 Page 62)

January 25, 2011 Genesis 50

Genesis 50:1-12; "Joseph threw himself upon his father and wept over him... Joseph went up to bury his father... Chariots and horsemen also went up with him... they reached the threshing floor of Atad [thicket of thorns]... That is why that place near the Jordan [the humbling] is called Abel-Mizraim [Breath into adversity]" Amen.

I too sacrificed the Spiritual life of my son on our battlefields of life. Although God sent His Son, we still sacrifice to enmity and strife - crucifying our Lord again and again, abusing His gift of salvation. Yet, God has provided the lamb - a Ram - The very Land for Goodness Sake.

Thoughts on the Biblical documentation of the devil and hell

The Bible represents a multitude of writings compiled from history. One of the most ancient stories, recorded for us from Moses study of Egyptian texts reflects a serpent in a garden. Following an image of temptation of man, Genesis 3:15 states "I will put enmity between you and the woman, he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

Interestingly, many stories later (Genesis 25:23-26), Jacob and Esau were born. Two nations would be divided. The older (Esau, (Red/routinely imagined wrathful)) seems to be representative of all men while the younger, (Jacob) had firm hold of his heel in seeming reference to the (serpent) of Genesis 3:15.

Indeed, in the Jewish consideration of being "Chosen" or "Set Apart", there has been a perceived enmity between this people group and all others for much of history culminating in the tragedy of the holocaust of WWII and the emergence of the Zionist movement which has been anything but pure. This "separatist" imagery on the part of a seemingly "partial" god has certainly been influential in the wars and religious movements of the 20th and 21st centuries regardless of approximately 30 Biblical claims that the God of the Bible is not partial and shows no favoritism ( http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/?search=partial&version1=49&searchtype=all. ) As God set up their form of worship through Moses, there was a symbolism of the sacrifice where the Priest would take coals from the fire and bring them outside the camp, outside the walls of the city to a designated place to offer atonement for [all] of the people.

Another depiction of "Hell" came in the judgment of Korah and a group of religious and political leaders that challenged Moses authority. The earth opened up and swallowed these adversaries, obviously shocking the culture (http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/?search=opened%20swallowed&version1=102&searchtype=all!)

 In my early days of Christianity in the 1960's, a vast number of believers still imagined "Hell" was a place within the very earth. Few if any still believe that ideology, but few have dismissed the shaky grounds of shifting Biblical stories and ideologies of both this angel who fell from Heaven - fully dependent upon God, but too often deified even by the most prudent of Biblical scholars. In studying these ancient documentations of myths and legends within the Bible, it also becomes obvious we are witnessing the existence of documentations accessed by the Biblical writers which are not contained within the Bible itself.  As witnessed within our own lives, this shifting identity continues dramatically through different generations of Biblical ideologies and from there, right up to the present day. With so many unanswered questions - and Biblical mythology and symbolism, this question "Does the devil or hell for that matter exist" is a powerful question indeed! We can prove God, but can we prove the devil outside of our own selves?

In Jesus day, this reference to atonement or refinement of outsiders (Hell) was further symbolized by a place of eternal burning - the refuse of the city was placed there - the dead of the poor were burned there. This city dump was called Gehenna ( http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2010:28;Matthew%2018:9;Mark%209:45;Luke%2012:5;Jeremiah%207:31-32&version=NIV1984. ) (Jeremiah 7:31-32 refers to this as Topheth [place of burning] to molek(ch) [king] to which God states such a practice never entered His mind.)

Jesus would claim as men cast out demons and ideologies that caused pain and suffering that he saw the devil falling from heaven. All very symbolic of the refinement of the understanding of our spirits as God sent the Christ to pay the atonement for all of our sins, including those of the deceiver (Jacob). This salvation considering John 3:16-17, Matthew 12:31 and Mark 3:28 again appears to cover both for those within the city walls, and that scum of the earth (given the ideals of bigotry we often have in ideologies of self-righteousness) destined for Gehenna. With universal forgiveness on the table - and the awesome power of Salvation over sin as reflected in Romans 5:15, one must question their judgment of their fellowman and how such resulting actions will affect their relationship with this Savior who gave His Life for [all] men!

Revelation 19:18-21 states that these false prophets and this beast - this image - we have served in our pride and self righteousness shall be thrown into an eternal lake of fire as our ideologies are refined to reflect the Almighty power and Saving Grace of our Lord and King who is blessed forever! No living or dead person was thrown into that lake - the understandings of our flesh are thus burned away and feasted upon in a celebration of universal spiritual renewal. Again, no room for a devil.

Revelation 20:14-15 states that Death and Hades are emptied of the dead in them as all peoples, nations, and tongues are judged and refined. Our badness is thus stripped away through Christ's ultimate power over the evils of mortal death and we are redeemed, cleansed by the blood of the lamb. Death and Hades are thus thrown, emptied of all who were in them, into that eternal lake of fire.

Given the fuller biblical imagery carried forward through Hebraic prophecy and religious history, it would seem that, at least Biblically, this imagery of the devil only exists in our ideologies, and Biblically documented -and extra-biblical myths and legends apart from the overpowering Love of an Almighty God.

As we depict God as a deity of wrath - thus being adversarial to our perceived enemies, we become adversarial and destructive to the very creation of the God we imagine we serve. We find ourselves at enmity with creation and become lost in fear of the spirit world. Thus, it would seem that the imagery of both d'evil and hell within the Bible have only been meant to bring us closer to him as we are forced to judge our own behaviors and resulting emotions.

Christs summary of all the law and the prophets (love your neighbor as your self) once and for all time destroyed the myth that the ancient Hebrew word for "destroy" [shad] meant something of military action; It meant the divine interpretation of "totally devote them to God"
